Job summary

Animal Friends in Pittsburgh seeks a Volunteer Services Program Manager to lead and grow our volunteer resources, overseeing Volunteer Services and Welcome Center teams. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, and retention strategies, building partnerships with colleges and community groups to maximize impact.

You will manage data-driven programs, reporting, and budget, while ensuring volunteers are integrated into services and programs that support thousands of lives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four years of experience in volunteer management or related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience developing programs and leading teams; data-driven decisions encouraged.
• Ability to obtain relevant clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, and retention initiatives to strengthen the volunteer program.
• Direct supervision of Volunteer Services and Welcome Center Coordinators with coaching and performance management.
• Oversee Volunteer Management System (Volgistics) data and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
• Foster community partnerships and coordinate volunteer opportunities with internal teams.
• Lead communications, events, and recognition programs; manage program budget and outcomes.
