The Salvation Army of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan in Milwaukee County seeks a Volunteer Services Administrator to oversee recruitment, screening, orientation, placement, recognition, and evaluation of volunteers. The role provides resources on volunteer information and coordinates community programs for the Milwaukee Area Command.

Key duties include developing volunteer descriptions, ensuring Safe From Harm training where required, and partnering with local organizations to support large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and three years of volunteer administration experience.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with TSA insurance approval.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Directs recruitment to grow the volunteer database and maintains it in the management system.
• Ensures screening matches interests and skills to opportunities.
• Develops volunteer job descriptions and program guides for matching skills.
• Plans and conducts recognition activities and events for volunteers.
• Coordinates reporting of volunteer activities and maintains data.
• Liaises with volunteer support agencies and represents The Salvation Army locally.
• Provides on-site leadership for large volunteer events (Toy Shop, Coats for Kids, Feed the Kids, Christmas Family Feast).
• Works with Development Department to engage local volunteer leaders and corporate partners.
• Plans and facilitates the annual Volunteer Recognition Event.
