Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL seeks a Volunteer Services Specialist to own and execute the facility's volunteer program. You will align strategy with patient experience priorities, partner with hospital leadership, HR, and community organizations, and oversee recruiting, onboarding, and placement optimization.

You will design recognition programs, monitor KPI trends using Press Ganey, Workday, and TASS, and translate insights into actionable improvements for service quality

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of related experience.
• Experience in recruiting, screening, and training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents Volunteer Services in facility and departmental forums to provide program updates, communicate enhancements, and ensure alignment with operational priorities.
• Designs and leads the facility volunteer recognition and retention strategy, including major annual appreciation events and ongoing engagement initiatives, to sustain volunteer satisfaction, retention, operational efficiency, and program continuity.
• Responsible for facility-level volunteer program analytics and data integrity, leveraging Press Ganey survey data, Workday, and TASS to monitor performance, identify trends, and develop regular KPI reports.
• Owns the end-to-end volunteer lifecycle strategy for the assigned facility, including recruitment planning, selection, onboarding, and placement optimization.
• Serves as the primary facility-level consultant to department leaders on volunteer role design, assessing operational needs, risk considerations, and patient experience goals.
• Conducts ongoing rounding and formal assessments with volunteers and departmental leaders to evaluate effectiveness of placements and adjust as needed.
• Holds accountability for volunteer performance management, engagement, and issue resolution.
