Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL, seeks a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership across hospital operations, ensuring quality, patient safety and operational excellence in the Memorial system.

Reporting to the Memorial Hospital Pembroke Administrative team, this role leads multiple departments, drives capital planning, workforce engagement and performance improvement aligned with the Memorial Experience.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Five years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in an acute care hospital
• Experience leading multiple operational functions and partnering with physicians and clinical leaders

Responsibilities

• Translates hospital and health system strategy into operational priorities, measurable goals, and actionable plans, driving accountability for execution and results.
• Leads major hospital-wide initiatives, capital planning, growth strategies, service enhancements, and operational improvements from planning through implementation and sustained performance.
• Participates in the development and implementation of the Hospitals plan for providing ancillary and support services to all patient populations served, including safety, quality and service initiatives.
• Leads and develops hospital leaders, strengthens workforce engagement, and promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Partners with clinical and physician leaders to advance quality, patient safety, patient experience, access, throughput, capacity management, and overall operational performance.
• Provides executive leadership and oversight of hospital operations, ensuring effective coordination, integration, and performance across assigned clinical and non-clinical functions.
