Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited educational program.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work, volunteer management, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
• Sound judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of Avivo's Adopt-A-Family holiday gifting program
• Assist with client and donor registration processes
• Communicate with internal staff, volunteers, and community donors
• Help coordinate and match donors with participating individuals and families
• Support training and communication related to gift acceptance and distribution
• Assist with inventory management and tracking of in-kind donations
• Support a client-centered donation model that allows participants to select needed items
• Work alongside volunteers and support weekly volunteer activities
• Assist with special projects that support Volunteer Services goals and community engagement
• Promote culturally responsive and inclusive practices throughout all interactions
