Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to build and maintain exceptional volunteer programs serving patients, staff, and volunteers. This full-time, day-shift role recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers, ensuring a positive onboarding and ongoing engagement with the Volunteer Department.

You will partner with hospital teams to support programs, welcome diverse volunteers, and coordinate activities while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience in multifaceted volunteer programs preferably in a health-related or educational setting.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Proven public speaking skills.
• Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to respond rapidly to changing situations.

Volunteer Services Coordinator - Full Time - Days

Location: Brooklyn, New York

Shift: Day (United States of America)

The Coordinator for Volunteer Services is responsible for building and maintaining exceptional volunteer programs that will serve our patients, staff, and our volunteers. The manager will recruit, train, and schedule volunteers in support of these programs, ensuring a positive onboarding and service experience, as well as continued engagement with and through the Volunteer Department. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday (9:00AM - 5:00PM) position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience working in a multifaceted volunteer program, Hospital patient relations, or in an educational setting preferred but not required.

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Prior experience working in a multifaceted volunteer programs preferably in a health-related or educational setting
• Computer literacy
• Proven public speaking skills
• Ability to write creatively and factually
• Highly developed organizational, organizational, negotiation and communication skills

Salary Range: $66,300-$89,000/Annual
