Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to lead our volunteer programs, serving patients, staff, and volunteers. You will recruit, train and schedule volunteers, ensuring a positive onboarding and ongoing engagement within the Volunteer Department.

This full-time role works Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, with comprehensive benefits and a culture of respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in multifaceted volunteer programs preferred but not required.
• Computer literacy.
• Proven public speaking skills.
• Ability to write creatively and factually.
• Highly developed organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to respond rapidly to changing situations.

Volunteer Services Coordinator – Full Time – Days

The Coordinator for Volunteer Services is responsible for building and maintaining exceptional volunteer programs that will serve our patients, staff, and our volunteers. The manager will recruit, train, and schedule volunteers in support of these programs, ensuring a positive onboarding and service experience, as well as continued engagement with and through the Volunteer Department. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday (9:00AM - 5:00PM) position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience working in a multifaceted volunteer program, Hospital patient relations, or in an educational setting preferred but not required.

• Bachelor’s Degree required
