Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to build and maintain exceptional volunteer programs serving patients, staff, and volunteers. This full-time, day-shift role recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers, ensuring a positive onboarding and ongoing engagement with the Volunteer Department.

You will partner with hospital teams to support programs, welcome diverse volunteers, and coordinate activities while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience in multifaceted volunteer programs preferably in a health-related or educational setting.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Proven public speaking skills.
• Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to respond rapidly to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to support programs.
• Coordinate onboarding to ensure a positive service experience.
• Engage volunteers and maintain ongoing communication with the Volunteer Department.
• Represent NYP Volunteer Services to patients, staff and volunteers.
