Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to lead our volunteer programs, serving patients, staff, and volunteers. You will recruit, train and schedule volunteers, ensuring a positive onboarding and ongoing engagement within the Volunteer Department.

This full-time role works Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, with comprehensive benefits and a culture of respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in multifaceted volunteer programs preferred but not required.
• Computer literacy.
• Proven public speaking skills.
• Ability to write creatively and factually.
• Highly developed organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to respond rapidly to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and schedule volunteers for programs.
• Build and maintain exceptional volunteer programs serving patients, staff and volunteers.
• Ensure positive onboarding and ongoing engagement with the Volunteer Department.
• Coordinate with hospital departments to support programs and events.
