Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a responsible, punctual driver with a clean driving record and a strong commitment to the LifeWise faith community.

You will transport students, enforce safety rules, perform vehicle inspections, and assist students with entering and exiting the bus while maintaining a calm, caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P).
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Age 21–80 years.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Be able to pass background check and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; demonstrate calm and caring demeanor.
• Identify students needing help and respond appropriately.
• Complete required training; volunteer in the LifeWise classroom as directed.
