Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a CDL bus driver to provide safe transport for public school students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The driver must be punctual, share a mature Christian faith, and maintain a clean driving record while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily bus inspections, enforcing safety rules, helping students on/off the bus, and maintaining a calm, caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs
• Must participate in and commit to a local church with aligned doctrine
• CDL driver with passenger vehicle endorsement; school bus endorsement preferred
• Age 21–80; safeguard requirements for drivers over 75 including annual CDL copy
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic cites in last 5 years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy required
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents)
• Annual Physician's Statement for known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate calm and caring demeanor; monitor behavior
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by director
