Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes responsibility, punctuality, and a clean driving record, with emphasis on maintaining safety and a caring demeanor for children.

Qualified candidates must hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (S endorsement preferred), be 21–80 years old, have a clean driving record for five years, and pass required background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise’s Statement of Faith.
• CDL driver’s license with a passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules; assist students entering/exiting the bus; stay calm and caring.
• Be aware of students who need help or are misbehaving.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms if approved by the director.
