The driver must hold a CDL with passenger endorsement (S endorsement preferred), maintain a clean driving record, and pass background checks and drug testing. Age range is 21–80, with annual CDL verification for those over 75.

Qualifications

• CDL license required; must have held license for past 3 years.
• Ages 21–80; licensee over 75 must submit CDL copy annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check required; drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Medical statements may be required for known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to/from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment and enforce bus safety rules.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training; assist in LifeWise classroom as agreed.
