Job summary

Boston Tax Help Coalition (BTHC) seeks a Relationships Manager in Boston to coordinate volunteer recruitment and program support for VITA and FCU initiatives. You’ll mentor volunteers, manage partner relations, and help drive communications and outreach with city teams.

The role trains staff and volunteers to build IRS VITA knowledge while enhancing the overall experience for taxpayers and partners. Boston residency is required.

Qualifications

• Three to four years working with volunteers or comparable backgrounds.
• A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication across multiple audiences.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment and management for VITA and FCU programs.
• Provide training, mentoring, and resources for site partners and volunteers.
• Support marketing, communications, and outreach with city and partner teams.
• Organize events, track data, and oversee volunteer management platforms.
