Job summary

Food Bank of Wyoming is seeking a Volunteer Operations Coordinator to support a safe, organized in-house volunteer experience. You will prep work areas, coordinate workflow, train volunteers, and provide hands-on support during shifts.

This role partners with the Development team to align volunteer scheduling with operational needs and ensure meaningful volunteer engagement. Core hours are 40 per week with occasional evenings/Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Commitment to Food Bank of Wyoming’s mission and professional representation.
• Self-directed, results-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate setup of volunteer work areas and activities.
• Partner with Development Team to align scheduling with goals.
• Foster a positive, organized and engaging volunteer experience.
• Train volunteers on tasks, mission, and safety practices.
• Maintain warehouse per sanitation and packing standards.
• Ensure proper handling of refrigerated, frozen, and dry foods and safety.
• Maintain neat warehouse, assist with daily housekeeping per AIB standards.
• Organize and clean the volunteer center at end of shifts.
