Job summary

Meals on Wheels Central Texas is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to recruit, place, and onboard volunteers across the agency. You will act as the primary contact for departmental volunteer requests and manage the volunteer match process from inquiry to onboarding.

You will collaborate with staff, corporate groups, and students to design meaningful volunteer opportunities that support operations and service delivery. A valid Texas driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with databases, CRM platforms, or volunteer management systems.
• Ability to build relationships with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Volunteer Request Process, assess volunteer needs, develop role descriptions, and support engagement.
• Conduct volunteer match calls; assess skills, interests, availability, and experience for placement.
• Recruit volunteers for opportunities across the organization, including office, project-based, internships, and one-time group roles.
• Oversee the volunteer application process from inquiry to placement, including screening and onboarding.
• Collaborate to develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to meet department needs.
• Coordinate development of one-time and group volunteer projects with departments and community partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses, corporate programs, and educational institutions.
• Track recruitment, placement activities, maintain databases, and prepare reports.
