NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator for a full-time, daytime schedule at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The role oversees building and maintaining exceptional volunteer programs serving patients, staff, and volunteers.

You will recruit, train, and schedule volunteers, ensuring strong onboarding and ongoing engagement within the Volunteer Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for hospital programs.
• Manage onboarding and ongoing engagement of volunteers in the Volunteer Department.
• Develop and maintain volunteer policies and procedures for service excellence.
• Collaborate with staff to align volunteer activities with patient and staff needs.
• Monitor and report on volunteer program outcomes and impact.

**Volunteer Services Coordinator – Full Time – Days**The Coordinator for Volunteer Services is responsible for building and maintaining exceptional volunteer programs that will serve our patients, staff, and our volunteers. The manager will recruit, train, and schedule volunteers in support of these programs, ensuring a positive onboarding and service experience, as well as continued engagement with and through the Volunteer Department.This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday (9:00AM - 5:00PM) position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.**Preferred Criteria*** Prior experience working in a multifaceted volunteer program, Hospital patient relations, or in an educational setting preferred but not required. **Required Criteria*** Bachelor’s Degree required* Prior experience working in a multifaceted volunteer programs preferably in a health-related or educational setting* Computer literacy* Proven public speaking skills* Ability to write creatively and factually* Highly developed organizational, organizational, negotiation and communication skills* Ability to respond rapidly to changing situationsJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
