Job summary

Nourishing Hope, a Chicago-based nonprofit, is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator who will lead volunteer groups, coordinate logistics across four city locations, and ensure a positive experience for volunteers.

This role reports to the Manager of Volunteer Engagement and involves data management, donor partnerships, and creating communications such as the Monthly Volunteer Bulletin, with occasional travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma.
• 1–3 years experience working with volunteers in a non-profit, events, or fundraising setting.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordinator for volunteer groups of five or more across four locations.
• Manage communications, scheduling, and on-site logistics; partner with development and program teams.
• Produce the Monthly Volunteer Bulletin and update orientation materials and website content.
• Utilize agency data tools to maintain volunteer records and monitor attendance trends.
• Represent Nourishing Hope as a community ambassador and supervise interns.
