Job summary

Williamsburg House of Mercy seeks a Program & Volunteer Coordinator to serve as the central administrative and scheduling hub for volunteer engagement in Williamsburg. The role balances managing the volunteer pipeline, inputting program data, and providing frontline reception coverage.

You will help keep schedules full, data accurate, and programs compliant across shelter, food, and family services, with duties 8:30–4:30, M-F, plus occasional events in evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, front-office reception, data entry, or nonprofit program support.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and experience utilizing database or CRM platforms (experience with Bloomerang is a major plus).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable addressing diverse crowds during orientations and front-desk interactions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, assist with event setups, and operate organizational cargo vans when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the universal volunteer pipeline and input critical program data.
• Provide professional frontline reception coverage.
