Job summary

Wheeler Mission Ministries is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Manager to lead volunteer involvement at our Indianapolis location. You will recruit, schedule, screen, and place volunteers, and build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and donors to support ministry goals.

The role reports to the Director of Volunteer Services and is a full-time position within the Volunteer Services team. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to thrive in this Christ-centered

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, People and/or Project Management or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, schedule, and oversee volunteers for the Wheeler Mission location.
• Build relationships with volunteers, staff, and donors to increase engagement.
• Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
• Represent Wheeler Mission at community events, volunteer fairs, and outreach.
