Job summary

Wheeler Mission Ministries seeks a part-time Guest Services Coordinator I to support residents at the Men’s Residential Center in Indianapolis. You will assist with check-in/out, guest support, and event activities, while working closely with the Guest Services Manager to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.

The role requires 1+ years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work varied shifts including evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or working toward HSE in first year of employment.
• 1+ years of successful, recent work experience demonstrating dependability.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with nonprofit program operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist shelter guests at check-in and check-out using guest software.
• Provide guidance and support to guests using approved techniques and scripture.
• Support daily meals and supervise guest activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with staff to facilitate nightly activities and resolve conflicts.
• Document incidents and communicate with Directors and staff as required.
• Supervise volunteers and assist with special events and program duties.
