Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and expanding our volunteer program, recruiting volunteers, and promoting the hospice within the community. The position includes clerical duties and delivering orientation and training for volunteers.

Ideal candidates have two years of volunteer experience, strong people skills, and good time management. Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance, and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with volunteers.
• Ability to work well with people and communicate efficiently.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must have a current Louisiana driver's license, auto insurance and CPR.
• Hospice or healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organized, and coordinates the volunteer program
• Recruits and interviews potential volunteer candidates
• Works with the community organizations to promote St. Joseph Hospice
• Clerical duties as maintaining organized volunteer records
• Provides a comprehensive orientation and training program
