Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to organize and grow our volunteer program. You will recruit, interview, and place volunteers, coordinating with community organizations to promote the hospice’s mission.

In this role you will provide comprehensive orientation and training, maintain volunteer records, and collaborate with staff to ensure excellent patient and family support. A people-centered approach and reliable scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with volunteers.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a current Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance and CPR.
• Hospice or healthcare setting experience preferred.

• Plans, organizes, and coordinates the volunteer program
• Recruits and interviews potential volunteer candidates
