Appalachia Service Project Inc in Johnson City, TN, is seeking a Volunteer and Field Operations Coordinator to support the East Tennessee Hub. The role oversees volunteer engagement, field logistics, and construction administration, with travel across east Tennessee and beyond ASP's service area.

It is a full-time, exempt position based in Johnson City, requiring irregular hours. The role includes coordinating permits, utilities setup, materials management, and site readiness, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a Christian environment.
• 1 year of experience in construction management or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and processes.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-construction readiness, permits, and inspection schedules.
• Coordinate temporary and permanent utility setup for construction operations.
• Maintain records for permits, inspections, utilities, and site plans.
• Track milestones to support schedules and grant requirements.
• Manage materials and equipment, ensure sites are ready for volunteers or contractors.
• Coordinate waste removal, material handling, and on-site logistics.
• Support scheduling of construction projects and timelines; communicate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee volunteer coordination and safety; support Summer Repair Program planning.
