Job summary

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT INC is seeking a Summer Program Manager to oversee training and staff management in Johnson City, TN. The role involves evaluating operations and ensuring successful county projects with volunteers throughout the summer.

Ideal candidates will have prior ASP experience, strong organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license. This position includes paid holidays, room, and board during training, and uses of an ASP vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years experience on ASP summer staff, preferably one year as a Center Director.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills as per ASP’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training planning and implementation in May and August.
• Provide feedback to staff after visits to summer centers.
• Maintain documentation and communicate updates weekly.
