Job summary

Grace Klein Community is seeking a motivated Volunteer & Serve Team Assistant to support the Coordinator in recruiting, organizing, and managing volunteers and Serve Teams. The role ensures volunteers are engaged, equipped, and empowered to make a positive impact within the community.

Responsibilities include onboarding, training, event support, photo/video documentation, and KPI tracking. A cooperative, mission-driven environment offers meaningful nonprofit experience and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Spanish-speaking / bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteers and assist in onboarding and training.
• Maintain communication with volunteers about opportunities and updates.
• Capture photos, videos, and testimonials of volunteers and Serve Teams.
• Coordinate events and activities in support of program goals.
• Track volunteer hours and update incident and KPI records.
• Support outreach and donation processing as needed.
• Foster a welcoming, positive volunteer environment.
