Job summary

Grace Klein Community in Pinson, AL is seeking a motivated Volunteer and Serve Team Assistant (Clay) to support recruitment, organization, and management of volunteers and Serve Teams. The Assistant will play a key role in ensuring volunteers are engaged, equipped, and empowered to make a positive impact within our community.

The role is full-time and hourly-paid, with a 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, plus on-call potential for Saturday Serve Teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer onboarding: welcome, orientation, and assignment to areas of need.
• Volunteer recruitment and engagement to support operations and events.
• Maintain volunteer records, hours, and KPI tracking.
• Lead and coordinate volunteers for daily tasks and special events.
• Support community outreach and hall/program operations.
