Job summary

Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Denver seeks a part-time volunteer coordinator for an 8-month term, starting November 2026 (2nd or 9th). The hybrid role requires one in-office day per week at CPW's Headquarters and remote work the rest of the time, with a typical 35–40 hour week.

Responsibilities include scheduling quarterly trainings, recognizing volunteers through the park pass program, data cleanup for a new system, and supporting staff at events.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers and staff.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and facilitate quarterly continuing education and professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
• Implement volunteer appreciation through our park pass program, annual gift mailing, storytelling, and National Volunteer Week efforts.
• Serve as data hygienist by completing data cleanup and mapping projects for a new volunteer management system.
• Support regional volunteer coordinators and CPW staff at events, trainings, and special projects.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as volunteer uniform orders and other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate collaboration, time management and organizational skills; be proactive and detail-oriented.
• Support staff and volunteers from behind the scenes and adapt to changing projects.
