Job summary

The Salvation Army Denver Red Shield seeks a Community Engagement & Events Coordinator to cultivate relationships, recruit and engage volunteers, and support events and campaigns in the Greater Denver area.

You will work with church leadership, donors, and community partners to strengthen visibility and ministry impact, with occasional evening meetings and weekend events. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and prior nonprofit experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, marketing, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or event planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead year-round volunteer recruitment, engagement, appreciation, and retention for Denver Red Shield.
• Coordinate major community and seasonal events, donor stewardship, and partnerships.
• Develop strategic partnerships to increase awareness of Denver Red Shield ministries.
• Coordinate donor and volunteer appreciation initiatives and manage communications.
