Job summary

The Salvation Army East Stroudsburg Corps is seeking an Events & Resources Coordinator to plan and execute fundraising events and volunteer initiatives. You will recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, coordinate with donors and sponsors, and manage post-event reporting to support the corps mission.

Key duties include coordinating Red Kettle campaigns, developing event materials, and ensuring accurate volunteer records and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; some college or professional fund-raising experience required.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, utilizing Word for correspondence and policy documents, Excel for budget tracking and reporting, and Outlook for efficient scheduling and communication coordination.

Responsibilities

• Represent The Salvation Army with grace, professionalism, and a welcoming demeanor.
• Greet visitors and answer calls; direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Oversee all aspects of fundraising events from planning through post-event evaluation, including venues, timelines, staffing, volunteers, sponsorships, and reporting.
• Develop and manage event committees, rosters, calendars, and follow-up communications.
• Oversee graphics, printed materials, and online platforms for fundraising events and campaigns.
• Track fundraising progress and prepare summaries for funders and corps leadership.
• Coordinate Red Kettle Campaign site, volunteers, deposits, and sponsorships.
• Oversee volunteers including court-mandated programs and other initiatives; ensure proper scheduling and reporting.
• Lead volunteer recruitment, training, and retention strategies compliant with Salvation Army policies.
• Maintain volunteer database and audit-ready records; ensure confidentiality.
• Communicate regularly with the Community Relations and Development Director and Corps Officers.
