Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a teacher to share biblical teaching with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate participates in a local church, demonstrates strong communication, and is caring and perceptive in teaching children.

Responsibilities include completing training, teaching with the LifeWise curriculum, building relationships with students, and maintaining an orderly classroom while upholding LifeWise’s mission.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and tailor as needed.
• Invest in students by building relationships and praying for them.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and permissions as required.
• Communicate with the program director and school personnel about schedules and well-being.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions.
