Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Inland Empire in Southern California seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to foster relationships with volunteers, civic organizations, and local businesses.

You will drive volunteer programs, organize donation drives, coordinate community events, and support fundraising goals.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred and experience in nonprofit engagement is desirable; bilingual English/Spanish a plus; valid CA driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Non-Profit Management, Education, Social Work, Communications, or related field.
• Two+ years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, program delivery, or event coordination, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a portfolio of 150-200 contacts in Raiser's Edge NXT to track stakeholder relationships.
• Act as first point of contact for volunteer and community event inquiries by phone and email.
• Represent the organization at community events benefiting the program.
• Facilitate supply and donation drives with local businesses and community organizations.
• Plan and execute solicitations of donations to support fundraising goals.
• Design and implement onsite and offsite activations for community partners.
• Give presentations to stakeholder organizations about how to get involved.
• Submit grants and funding proposals as appropriate.
• Recruit, onboard and cultivate volunteers for key opportunities like Meals of Love and events.
