Job summary

Qualifications

• Volunteer coordination experience with nonprofits preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with social media, digital content, and community outreach is desirable.
• Proficiency in coordinating with multiple departments and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and develop volunteers from the community and maintain the volunteer database.
• Provide training and ongoing education for volunteers and create monthly newsletters.
• Coordinate volunteer groups for campaigns and community events; represent the Salvation Army in the community.
• Assist with social media and communications strategies and content across channels.
