Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate shows responsibility, punctuality, and a clean driving record. A mature Christian faith and church participation are requested per LifeWise guidelines.

Responsibilities include bus inspections, refueling, and maintaining a safe environment for children, with training and potential classroom volunteering as agreed with the director.

Qualifications

• CDL license with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Undergo and pass a background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle and demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor.
