Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. Must maintain a clean driving record, undergo background checks, and comply with drug/alcohol testing. Active church involvement aligned with our Statement of Faith is required.

The position emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a calm, caring demeanor while transporting students and volunteers to LifeWise activities. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing as required
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy faith statements

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create a safe environment for children and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle
