The driver must hold a CDL with passenger endorsement, be aged 21–80, pass background and drug testing, and complete required LifeWise training. A focus on safety and caring for students is essential.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement required
• Must maintain a clean driving record in the last five years
• Undergo background check through LifeWise Academy
• Drug/alcohol testing per policy and pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Be aware of students needing help or who are misbehaving
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms if arranged with the director
