LifeWise Academy is hiring a CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a clean driving record, with required background checks and FMCSA compliance.

The driver will maintain bus cleanliness and safety, conduct inspections, assist students, and create a calm, caring environment. A valid CDL with a passenger endorsement is required; school bus endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL license with P endorsement required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Driver must be licensee for past three years.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children, enforcing safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if directed.
