Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. The role demands reliability, punctuality, and a clean driving record with appropriate CDL endorsements.

The driver will follow all laws, maintain bus safety and cleanliness, perform regular inspections, and ensure a calm, supportive environment for children. Training and potential classroom volunteering may be part of duties.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required; School bus (S) endorsed preferred.
• Age 21–80 years; drivers over 75 must submit CDL copy and (P) endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy required.
• Drug/alcohol testing conducted pre-employment, annually, and after incidents.
• Medical conditions must have yearly physician's statement per underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students boarding/alighting; maintain calm, caring demeanor.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by director.
