Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will uphold safety, cleanliness, and vehicle readiness while modeling a calm, caring demeanor.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean driving record, and successful completion of background checks and FMCSA requirements. Commitment to a local church aligned with our beliefs is expected.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Faith.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required.
• Age 21–80; annual CDL license documentation if over 75.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and keep the bus clean and mechanically safe.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
