Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated teacher for LifeWise Secondary Education. The role requires delivering Bible-based curriculum to grades 6-12, staying aligned with LifeWise policies, and engaging students through caring, relational teaching.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of classroom teaching experience and active involvement in a local church. You will participate in regular training, attend LifeWise events, and collaborate with staff to promote spiritual growth in students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map out age-appropriate lessons.
• Maintain accurate attendance and class rosters, with health notes and permissions.
• Maintain an organized, engaging classroom environment and implement redemptive discipline strategies.
• Communicate with program director, build relationships with volunteers, and share updates and photos.
