Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher to educate students in LifeWise Bible classes. The role emphasizes strong classroom teaching, active church involvement, and effective communication with staff and families.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of classroom teaching experience, be a committed member of a local church, and be prepared to complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training including LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters with health concerns and permissions.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers.
• Establish an organized, engaging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Communicate with program director, school personnel, and volunteers about schedules and student well-being.
