Velocity Network, Inc. in Erie, PA is seeking an in-house VoIP Support Specialist to join our growing team. You will provide advanced support for voice and managed client fiber services, configuring VoIP and Calix solutions, triaging tickets, and resolving escalations.

The role requires 2+ years in VoIP or network hardware, strong communication skills, and ability to work on-call. The company offers comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience or equivalent in VoIP or network hardware/software.
• Knowledge of advanced Network and VoIP protocols.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Willing to work overtime and on-call hours.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and travel to client sites occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium-scale voice and phone system projects.
• Monitor and respond to alerts in the remote monitoring system.
• Engineer voice-related projects and provide data for review by seniors.
• Keep stakeholders informed of incident progression or outages.
• Maintain and perform maintenance on voice system hardware/software.
• Provide telephony support for VoIP, Hosted, and traditional systems.
• Stage and implement VoIP hardware/software for clients.
• Collaborate with carriers for voice circuit installation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation in Office 365 and IT Glue.
• Handle on-site or remote escalation tickets.
