Velocity Network, Northwest Pennsylvania’s leading technology services firm, is seeking an in-house VoIP Support Specialist to join our growing team. You will provide advanced support for voice and managed client fiber services, troubleshooting telephony and network systems.

You will deploy VoIP and Calix solutions and manage service tickets with timely resolution. You’ll collaborate with the Sales team, mentor technicians, and ensure accurate documentation in Office 365 and IT Glue, while

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience or equivalent in VoIP or network hardware/software.
• Knowledge of advanced Network and VoIP protocols.
• Strong telephony, written and oral communication and customer care.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium scale voice and phone system projects.
• Monitor alerts and respond in the remote monitoring system.
• Engineer voice related projects and provide data for review.
• Keep stakeholders informed of incident progression and outages.
• Maintain voice and phone system hardware and software.
• Provide support for VoIP and IP-based Hosted systems and networking gear.
• Mentor VoIP technicians on hardware and software.
• Handle escalations with onsite or remote assistance.
• Collaborate with carriers for ordering, installation, and troubleshooting voice circuits.
• Maintain system documentation in Office 365 and IT Glue.
