Job summary

Preferred Business Systems, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a technically sharp support technician to bridge our Copier and MSP/IT divisions.

You will keep our VoIP environment running, configure Ricoh devices, and support field technicians while working directly with customers and their IT teams to resolve connectivity issues. The role involves VoIP provisioning, network troubleshooting, and on-site support across customer sites, with a base salary of $50,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of hands-on networking experience (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) with basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with VoIP systems strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Ricoh copier/MFP networks or willingness to learn quickly.
• Comfortable working independently and with field technicians and customer IT staff.
• Strong communication and customer-facing troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license; some local travel to customer sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support VoIP services, including user setup, phone provisioning, call routing, number porting, and troubleshooting.
• Configure Ricoh copiers for network printing, scanning, scan-to-email, and other network functions.
• Install, configure, and support software solutions associated with Ricoh multifunction devices.
• Manage and troubleshoot the EKM DCA device monitoring software.
• Assist field technicians with network, printing, scanning, and software-related issues.
• Work directly with customers and their IT departments to troubleshoot network and connectivity problems.
• Assist with new installations, customer migrations, and technical project planning.
