Job summary

TeleCloud is seeking a hands-on VoIP & Network Field Technician to install, configure, and support cloud-based phone systems and business networks across New Jersey. You’ll work with VoIP, Teams, SIP, cloud communications, networking, and AI-powered tools to modernize how businesses connect.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer-facing technical field experience in VoIP, telecom, or related IT services.
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and TCP/IP basics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite network assessments prior to installations.
• Install and configure cloud phone systems, IP phones, routers, switches, and network equipment.
• Setup users, extensions, voicemail, auto attendants, queues, and routing.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, VoIP performance, and call quality issues.
• Coordinate phone number porting, project schedules, and go-live activities.
• Collaborate with customer IT, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Test systems before deployment including emergency calling and failover.
• Train customer administrators and end users.
• Document installations, configurations, and progress.
• Own issues through resolution with excellent customer service.
