Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 voice technical support for local and remote offices across multiple global regions.
  • Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments.
  • Configure and support Cisco voice gateways, Unity Connection, and UCCX.
  • Plan, test, and implement upgrades and fixes across voice platforms.
  • Troubleshoot MGCP, SIP, CUBE, RTP, and H.323 environments, including log collection and debugging.
  • Work with telecommunications providers to provision, configure, and test circuits and DDI numbers.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve circuit, network, and application issues.
  • Create and maintain installation, troubleshooting, and technical how-to documentation.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rotation as required.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Voice Engineer to support a global corporate voice infrastructure spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This role provides Tier 1, 2, and 3 technical support while contributing to local and global voice technology initiatives. The engineer will work across Cisco voice technologies, including CUCM, voice gateways, Unity Connection, UCCX, SIP, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Cisco IPT experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform day-to-day MACD activities, including provisioning for new hires, departures, and office relocations.
  • Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 voice technical support for local and remote offices across multiple global regions.
  • Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments.
  • Configure and support Cisco voice gateways, Unity Connection, and UCCX.
  • Plan, test, and implement upgrades and fixes across voice platforms.
  • Troubleshoot MGCP, SIP, CUBE, RTP, and H.323 environments, including log collection and debugging.
  • Work with telecommunications providers to provision, configure, and test circuits and DDI numbers.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Cisco IPT within a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies and protocols, including RTP, SIP, MGCP, H.323, and call flow.
  • Hands-on experience administering CUCM, including CSS, partitions, call routing, dial plans, cluster maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting MGCP, SIP, and CUBE deployments.
  • Experience with circuit provisioning, including ISDN/E1/T1 and SIP circuits.
  • Experience with Cisco BAT, DRS backup/restore processes, Cisco voice gateways, Unity Connection, and UCCX administration/support and scripting.
  • CCNP Voice/Collaboration certification required.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and VMware required; exposure to Cisco UCS B-Series/C-Series, DHCP, and Windows Server 2008/2012 preferred.
  • Experience working within SLAs and corporate ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or HEAT.
  • University degree in Engineering, IT, Computing, or a related discipline required.
