Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina seeks a Developmental Specialist Vocational to build positive relationships with individuals served and help them reach personal goals outlined in their plans. The role includes assessing hopes, promoting rights, and assisting with advocacy and community resource navigation.

You will supervise staff, educate teams, and ensure safe, compliant service delivery across settings. A valid US driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Drivers License (Valid) - USA
• Experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disabilities | Not Required

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals' hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services at all times.
• Help individuals develop advocacy skills and participate in advocacy efforts.
• Serve as a resource on community agencies and supports meeting identified needs.
• Supervise and mentor staff in work settings and during in-house or community substitutions.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures and policies.
• Document progress notes, timesheets, incidents, and other required records.
