Job summary

Achievement House in Santa Maria, CA, is seeking a Vocational Coach to help individuals with developmental disabilities build job skills through hands-on training in settings like janitorial, yardwork, and retail.

You will provide tailored instruction, coach on tasks, ensure safety, and document progress, with a flexible schedule including weekends and travel by driving to sites.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Own vehicle, CA driver's license, and ongoing proof of state-required auto insurance.
• Computer and technology skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a varying schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coach individuals on workplace tasks, help them meet work-quality standards, and support progress toward independent work.
• Support the health and safety of all individuals at the assigned work site.
• Complete and submit required records, including transportation documentation, attendance, job coach notes, objective sheets, incident and accident reports, time studies, and case management documentation.
• Follow the protocols and procedures of each assigned department or program.

Join Achievement House, a nonprofit organization with a history of serving individuals with developmental disabilities, as a Vocational Coach. Help individuals build vocational skills and work toward greater independence through hands-on training and support in settings such as janitorial, yardwork, and retail. This role supports individuals across varied work environments and requires a flexible schedule, including weekend availability. Driving is required.

Compensation

Anticipated pay: $23.50 per hour.

• $250 sign-on bonus, with payments at 90 and 180 days.
