Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Vocational Case Manager to support disability claimants through return-to-work planning, vocational analysis, and labor-market placement. You will collaborate with claimants, healthcare providers, employers and internal partners to assess work capacity, identify options and develop strategies that support informed disability determinations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or related field.
• Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) designation.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical or vocational rehabilitation experience.
• Strong understanding of RTW best practices, ergonomics, FMLA, ADA accommodations and HR topics.
• Proficiency in case management systems and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Return-to-Work Coordination: design and execute transitional RTW plans, including job accommodations and retraining.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: communicate with physicians and internal/external partners to integrate RTW into treatment plans.
• Vocational Counseling & Training: provide job-seeking skills training, resume development, interview prep and training coordination.
• Labor Market Research & Placement: conduct local labor market research and match skills to viable opportunities.
