Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Behavioral Health Case Manager in CT to perform comprehensive disability evaluations and guide complex claims through multidisciplinary reviews. You’ll collaborate with providers, utilize vocational and risk resources, and ensure accurate documentation to support claims decisions.

Candidates should hold a Master’s in behavioral health with independent licensure and have strong MS Office skills. Hybrid or remote work arrangements are available based on location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice after a clinical master’s degree.
• Master’s Degree required in a behavioral health or mental health discipline.
• License in Behavioral Health Clinical work (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent).
• Independent licensure to practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive evaluation of a disability claimant functionality.
• Advises on highly complex claims at multidisciplinary clinical review rounds.
• Determines quality of care issues and escalates them.
• Conferences with treating providers to evaluate clinical symptoms.
• Utilizes vocational rehab, risk management, and other resources.
• Manages risk and resources on complex behavioral health claims.
